You can now celebrate New Year’s Eve on a Dubai abra for only Dhs150
Looking to spend NYE somewhere a little different this year?
If you don’t fancy a rooftop bash or heading down to Burj Khalifa, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) might just have something for you instead.
Ahead of the 2026 celebrations, the RTA confirmed that you can spend the countdown to midnight on a water taxi, abra or even the Dubai Ferry.
They just announced service timings and fares for marine transport trips operating during New Year’s Eve celebrations on Wednesday December 31 2025.
The services include the Dubai Ferry, Water Taxi and traditional Abras, with departures scheduled between 10pm and 10:30pm, with all trips ending at 1:30am.
Ticket prices for the Ferry start at Dhs350 for Silver Class and Dhs525 for Gold Class. Kids aged two to ten get 50 per cent off and little ones under two can ride for free.
Water Taxi trips will set off from Marina Mall Marine Transport Station. A full boat booking is Dhs3,750 and fits up to 20 passengers, with space for a wheelchair included.
Abras run from Al Jaddaf, Al Fahidi, Al Ghubaiba and Marina Mall Marine Transport Stations. Tickets are Dhs150 per person and children under two can hop on for free.
Both the Water Taxi and Abra services run from 10 pm to 10.30 pm, and all trips wrap up by 1.30 am.
